Volleyball Preview: Beyer Patriots vs. Big Valley Christian Lions        
        
		
            The Beyer Patriots will be defending their home court for the first time this season  when they go up against the Big Valley Christian Lions  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Last Friday, Beyer beat Enochs 3-1. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Patriots.
 Beyer was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12, 18-25,  25-21.

 Beyer relied on the efforts of   Cruz Hibbard, who  had 15 assists and six  digs, and   Mustafa Samadi, who  had seven  digs and three  aces. Hibbard is  on a roll when it comes to  assists, as he's  now  posted 13 or more in each of the last three games he's  played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when  Big Valley Christian duked it out with Golden Valley on Wednesday. Big Valley Christian won by a  set and slipped past Golden Valley  3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Lions have posted  since February 22nd.
 Big Valley Christian wouldn't go down easily and took Golden Valley into a fifth set  where they got it done with a seven-point win. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15, 13-25, 20-25,  15-8.
 Big Valley Christian is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record  this season. Beyer's win bumped their record up to 2-0.
 Beyer skirted past Big Valley Christian  3-2 when the teams last played  back in February of 2024. Does  Beyer have another victory up their sleeve, or will Big Valley Christian turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
