Baseball Recap: Maret Falls Short Against Ranked Saint James

Maret is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Saint James. The Frogs fell 6-1 to the Saints. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 8, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Maret saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant King, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Maret's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Saint James, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maret will challenge DC International at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Saint James, they will face off against Sidwell Friends at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Saints are facing the Quakers at the right time seeing as the Quakers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
