Basketball Recap: Missouri Military Academy Takes a Loss

If Missouri Military Academy was feeling good fresh off their 70-47 takedown of Calvary Lutheran last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The matchup between the Missouri Military Academy Fighting Colonels and the St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K Knights didn't end well, with the Missouri Military Academy Fighting Colonels falling 85-70. The Fighting Colonels lost against the Knights in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 80-20 score last time.

St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but James Collins led the charge by going 8 of 13 en route to 17 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Those eight assists gave Collins a new career-high. Another player making a difference was JohnPaul Gunn, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards.

Missouri Military Academy now has a losing record at 9-10. As for St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-15.
