Grassfield skates past Hickory with ease

Recap: Grassfield Grizzlies vs. Hickory Hawks

The Grassfield Grizzlies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Hickory, posting a 82-29 victory at home. Grassfield has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season.

Leading Grassfield to victory were Lauren Priester and Amaya Fisher. Priester scored 21 points along with six steals, while Fisher scored 25 points along with five assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fisher has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Khadijah Rashid, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Grassfield's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Hickory, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grassfield will square off against Indian River at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hickory, they will head out on the road to take on Oscar Smith at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
