Basketball Game Preview: Wolfe City Wolves vs. Celeste Blue Devils

The Wolfe City Wolves will head out to face off against the Celeste Blue Devils at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wolfe City has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 14.

Wolfe City is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Sam Rayburn on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Wolfe City lost 52-29 to Sam Rayburn. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1582nd, while the Rebels are ranked 439th).

Meanwhile, Celeste was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 49-35 to Bland. While the Blue Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 17-12 in the first quarter.

Celeste's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Wolfe City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-20.

Wolfe City was taken down by Celeste 50-23 when the teams last played on January 3rd. Can Wolfe City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
