Volleyball Recap: Ali Offner and Sarah Clement Secure Win for Mt. Carmel

Mt. Carmel had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Benton Tigers on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Cubs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mt. Carmel took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14, 25-15.

Mt. Carmel was led to victory by Sarah Clement and Ali Offner. Clement had eight digs, four aces, and three blocks, while Offner had ten digs. Clement has been hot for a while, having also posted 19 or more assists the last 14 times she's played.

Mt. Carmel's victory bumped their record up to 37-5. As for Benton, they moved to 23-9 with that loss, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

As of now, neither Mt. Carmel nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
