Stamford waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the St. Joseph Cadets 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Black Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Stamford never let St. Joseph on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-23.

John Thomas paced Stamford's offense, picking up nine kills. Thomas got some help from Ethan Taylor and his 23 assists.

Stamford's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for St. Joseph, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Stamford has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Trumbull on the 9th. As for St. Joseph, they will square off against Darien at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Wave will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cadets surely won't give up without a fight.
