Game recap: Burns High School Football Team defeats Forestview

LAWNDALE, N.C. - Burns (Lawndale, N.C.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Forestview (Gastonia, N.C.), 28-6, on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, the Bulldogs led 21-0 at the half.

With the win Burns extended its winning streak to eight games. BHS defeated the Golden Lions 14-9 last week.

Mykelti Armstrong played well for the Jaguars. The junior wide receiver ran for one touchdown.

Forestview's lone touchdown came on a 4-yard run by Armstrong in the fourth quarter.



The Lawndale school had given up an average of 14.1 points prior to the contest.

The defeat comes as a step back for Forestview, which notched a 49-20 victory over Kings Mountain in its previous outing. The loss snapped FHS's 2-game winning streak.
