Volleyball Recap: Purdue Polytechnic Gets the Win

Purdue Polytechnic's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Indianapolis Arsenal Technical Titans. That's more bragging rights for the Techies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Purdue Polytechnic had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-12.

Camara Walker-Brown paced Purdue Polytechnic's offense, picking up six kills. Walker-Brown got some help from Kaida Lovett and her ten assists. Alyssa Hickman controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Purdue Polytechnic's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Indianapolis Arsenal Technical, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, Purdue Polytechnic and Indianapolis Shortridge will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Blue Devils have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Indianapolis Arsenal Technical, they will challenge Lawrence North at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
