Fairfax's tournament run continued when they took on Goldwater on Friday. The Fairfax Stampede enjoyed a cozy 62-46 win over the Goldwater Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stampede.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fairfax to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrew Evans, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Michael Holdbrook, who earned 16 points.

Fairfax has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Goldwater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Fairfax has already played their next contest, a 60-58 defeat against La Joya Community on the 28th. As for Goldwater, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Greenway at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
