Beacon of Hope Christian scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 52-44 to Varsity Opponent. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Varsity Opponent earlier this season, when they won 43-38.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jemon Walker, who posted 13 points and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Allen David Manns, who earned nine points and seven boards.

Even though they lost, Beacon of Hope Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

This is the second loss in a row for Beacon of Hope Christian and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Beacon of Hope Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Young Kids In Motion at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-64 loss against Heritage Academy Gateway on the 24th.
