Basketball Game Preview: Herington Railroaders vs. Douglass Bulldogs

The Herington Railroaders will take on the Douglass Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Herington and five for Douglass.

Last Friday, Herington came up short against Solomon and fell 40-28. The match marked the Railroaders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The losing side was boosted by Leslyn Kremeier, who posted 14 points and five steals. Atalie Alexander also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Even though they lost, Herington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Douglass played against Belle Plaine and lost via forfeit.

Herington's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Douglass, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
