Volleyball Recap: Pinnacle Falls Short Against Ranked Liberty

Pinnacle faced Liberty in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Pioneers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Pioneers have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Addison Nicks paced Pinnacle's offense, picking up ten kills. Nicks got some help from Morgan Buhay and her 12 assists. Emma Elbert controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Pinnacle's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Liberty, they pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Pinnacle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Corona del Sol on the 20th. As for Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Queen Creek on the 20th.
