The Cape Cod RVT Crusaders will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Martha's Vineyard Regional Vineyarders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Cape Cod RVT's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They claimed a resounding 41-0 win over Monomoy. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Crusaders considering their 12-point performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Martha's Vineyard Regional, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Everything went their way against Sharon on Saturday as they made off with a 38-12 victory.

The win got Cape Cod RVT back to even at 1-1. As for Martha's Vineyard Regional, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Cape Cod RVT beat Martha's Vineyard Regional 30-19 in their previous matchup back in October of 2018. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Vineyarders' Ivan Shepherd, who rushed for 71 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 71 yards and a pair of TDs.
