Baseball Recap: Thoreau Comes Up Short

Thoreau's tournament run continued when they took on Dora on Friday. Thoreau lost 28-10 to Dora. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Matthew Shirley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Milliken, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Thoreau's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Dora, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Thoreau didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 22-3 defeat against Estancia on the 22nd. As for Dora, they have also already played their next contest, a 24-6 loss against Grady on the 22nd.
