Softball Recap: Southeast Golden Buffalo vs. North RedHawks
Southeast extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 22 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-8 in the process. They lost 15-0 to the North RedHawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the RedHawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Wednesday.
As for North, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9. The result was nothing new for the RedHawks, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
For North's part, the team relied heavily on Evelyn Escamilla, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave Escamilla a new career-high. Yulisa Herrera Trejo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
As of now, neither Southeast nor North have any future games scheduled.
