Baseball Game Preview: Morrison Mustangs vs. Eastland Cougars

For the second straight game, Morrison will face off against Eastland. The Mustangs will challenge the Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Morrison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Morrison got the win against Eastland by a conclusive 8-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Ayden Meinsma made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over 5.1 innings pitched. Morrison is 2-1 when Meinsma posts ten or more strikeouts, but 4-5 otherwise. Meinsma was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meinsma wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jake Stobbe, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

The victory got Morrison back to even at 6-6. As for Eastland, they moved to 7-8 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
