Softball Preview: Verrado Vipers vs. Lake Havasu Knights        
        
		
            
 The Verrado Vipers will head out on the road to  challenge  the Lake Havasu Knights at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Verrado is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
 On Thursday, Verrado had just enough and edged Millennium out  4-3.
  Abbey Feld spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Nevaeh Romero was  incredible,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.  Teagan Winberg was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with a  triple and a  run.
 Lake Havasu only won by two when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-point they dealt Westview on Thursday. Lake Havasu never let Westview onto the board and left with  a   15-0  win.
 Verrado has  been performing  well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 13 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record  this season. As for Lake Havasu, they pushed their record up to 8-8 with that  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home.
 Verrado came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake Havasu  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023, sneaking past  3-1. Does  Verrado have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lake Havasu turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
