East is 7-2 against Oxford since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Vikings will host the Hornets at 3:45 p.m. East is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

East is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Downingtown West just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whippets. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

East saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Jones, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Jones hit this season.

Meanwhile, Oxford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Sun Valley. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Alexa Keenan was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Helen Jackson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

East's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Oxford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

East was able to grind out a solid victory over Oxford when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 5-2. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
