Basketball Recap: AGBU Drops Highest Score of Season Against Northridge Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask AGBU). They breezed past the Northridge Academy Pumas to the tune of 73-31 on Monday. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Pumas are ranked 992nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northridge Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Devarion Kelly, who posted six points and ten boards, and Mathew Flores, who had four points. That's the most rebounds Kelly has posted since back in November of 2024. Christian Perea also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

AGBU's victory bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Northridge Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-17.

AGBU wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 57-56 win against Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica on the 4th. As for Northridge Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 57-49 victory against East Valley on the 5th.
