Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Elijah Gonzales stepped things up a notch to give Pecos the 'W'. Penasco had no answer to Gonzales as he got on base in four of his six plate appearances with a home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.
Gonzales' strong effort led Pecos over Penasco and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pecos is 7-1 against Penasco going back to April of 2018, a lead they'll look to extend.
