Basketball Game Recap: Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes vs. Deerfield Beach Bucks

The Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Deerfield Beach. Even though they lost, Pompano Beach's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 52 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Jonathan Berwig and Mason Rowan certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Berwig scored 22 points, while Rowan scored 13 points along with 4 blocks. Jaden Odom was another key contributor, scoring 3 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Pompano Beach and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Deerfield Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Pompano Beach will head out on the road to face off against Flanagan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Deerfield Beach, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coral Glades at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
