Resurrection Christian faced Valor Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Resurrection Christian still got an impressive performance from Blake Coors, who had 24 digs and one assist. Coors has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Leading Valor Christian to victory were Piper McFadden and Camble Booth. McFadden hit 71.4% for ten kills and 12 digs and one block, while Booth had ten kills, six digs, and two aces. That's the most kills Booth has posted over her last six matchups.

Resurrection Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 21-2. As for Valor Christian, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 20-2.
