Soccer Recap: Valor Academy Takes a Loss

Valor Academy managed to keep up with Lawndale until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Valor Academy lost 6-1 to Lawndale. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Valor Academy of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Christopher Vasquez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Valor Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Valor Academy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Stella High Charter Academy on the 24th. As for Lawndale, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Roosevelt at 3:30 p.m. on December 1.
