Softball Recap: Lyons Lions vs. Tinley Park Titans
Lyons extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping their season record down to 10-18 in the process. They lost 11-2 to the Tinley Park Titans. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2018.
As for Tinley Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season. The result was nothing new for Tinley Park, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
For Tinley Park's part, Emily Korduplewski was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Korduplewski was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lilia Flores, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Kolk, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
As of now, neither Lyons nor Tinley Park have any future games scheduled.
