Manatee and Southeast are an even 4-4-2 against one another since December of 2015, but likely not for long. The Hurricanes will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against the Seminoles at 7:00 p.m. Manatee has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 6.

Manatee lost 6-1 to Hardee on Monday. While losing is never fun, Manatee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 419th, while Hardee are ranked 143rd).

Manatee's goal came courtesy of Axel Felix, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southeast). They put the hurt on Imagine School at North Port with a sharp 8-1 victory on Thursday. With Southeast ahead 8-1 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Southeast pushed their record up to 6-5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matches. As for Manatee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1.
