Volleyball Game Preview: Avalon Lancers vs. Southlands Christian Eagles

Avalon is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Southlands Christian is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Avalon Lancers will host the Southlands Christian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Avalon came up short against Western Christian on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Avalon was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Southlands Christian made easy work of The Webb Schools on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Gauls: they've now won five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13, 25-18.

Southlands Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Avalon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
