Baseball Recap: Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Takes a Loss

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton and New Ulm Cathedral squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Russell-Tyler-Ruthton had to settle for second. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greyhounds. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Chandler, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for New Ulm Cathedral, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-1 victory against Hayfield on the 12th. As for New Ulm Cathedral, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-1 win against South Ridge on the 12th.
