Baseball Recap: Murray Comes Up Short

Murray lost against Graves County back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Murray saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Starks, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Colin Winters was another, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Murray's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Graves County, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Murray is taking a road trip to face off against Ballard Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Graves County, they will welcome Marshall County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
