Greenville has gone 9-1 against Humphreys County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Greenville Hornets will welcome the Humphreys County Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Greenville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They secured a 49-44 W over Coahoma County on Thursday.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in De'Marion Gibson and Caleb Hearns. Gibson had a great game and went 7 for 13 on his way to 17 points. Meanwhile, Hearns was balling out in the loss, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 20 boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Humphreys County). They enjoyed a cozy 69-52 victory over Leland on Friday. While the Cowboys didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Greenville better keep an eye on Dexter Williams. He was instrumental in Humphreys County's win, putting up 28 points. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Scotty Bronson, who posted 15 points.

Greenville pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Humphreys County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Greenville was able to grind out a solid win over Humphreys County in their previous matchup back in November, winning 62-49. Will Greenville repeat their success, or does Humphreys County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
