Tygarts Valley takes loss despite strong efforts from Kailen Yokum and Summer Lewis-Smith

Recap: Tygarts Valley Bulldogs vs. Pendleton County Wildcat
The Tygarts Valley Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 52-40 to Pendleton County. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tygarts Valley in their matchups with Pendleton County: they've now lost six in a row.
Summer Lewis-Smith and Kailen Yokum certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Lewis-Smith scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and two steals, while Yokum scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Yokum pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Smith, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Tygarts Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Pendleton County, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tygarts Valley will take on Tucker County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tucker County is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Pendleton County, they will be playing at home against Petersburg at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
