After a string of seven wins, Peoria's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 43-30 to the Estrella Foothills Wolves. The Panthers lost against the Wolves in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 78-27 score last time.

Peoria's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cieraka Lynch, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Lynch is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Harmony Re, who earned seven points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Estrella Foothills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eva Amenhauser, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 20 boards. That's the most rebounds Amenhauser has posted in her last 17 matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Nemo Sidhu, who had 14 points and five steals.

Peoria's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Estrella Foothills, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3.

Peoria wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-32 victory against Agua Fria on the 21st. As for Estrella Foothills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-11 win against Westview on the 21st.
