Volleyball Recap: Providence Panthers vs. Ardrey Kell Knights
After flying high against Ballantyne Ridge on Tuesday, Providence came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Ardrey Kell Knights on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 25-19.
Providence's offense was headlined by Logan Phillips and Shelby Drensek, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Ellie Rinehardt and her seven assists. Josie Swartz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Hayley Rollar was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matchups. Izabella Tyrrell also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Providence's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Ardrey Kell, they pushed their record up to 17-9 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
