Volleyball Recap: Bernalillo Comes Up Short

Bernalillo lost against Albuquerque Academy back in October and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans came up short against the Chargers, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-16, 25-10.

Samaria Brown paced Bernalillo's offense, picking up five kills. Brown got some help from Rayann Downing and her eight assists. Finally, Brown was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Bernalillo dropped their record down to 8-14 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Albuquerque Academy, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Looking ahead, Bernalillo will challenge Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Albuquerque Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
