Recap: Rouse Raiders vs. Dripping Springs Tigers
The Rouse Raiders won the last time they faced the Dripping Springs Tigers, and things went their way on Friday too. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Rouse made off with a 55-54 victory over Dripping Springs. Given Rouse's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Dripping Springs is ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jojo Moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with 7 rebounds. The match was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Devin Brown was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 3 steals.
Rouse's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Dripping Springs, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Rouse will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Midway at 3:30 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Dripping Springs, they will take on Stony Point at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stony Point knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Dripping Springs likes a good challenge.
