Softball Recap: Hammond Comes Up Short

Hammond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 18-3 to the Loranger Wolves.

Hammond's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Loranger, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Looking ahead, Hammond will square off against Pope John Paul II at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hammond has given up an average of 18 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Loranger, they and Springfield will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
