Basketball Game Preview: Westminster Academy Crusaders vs. Sacred Heart Trojans

Westminster Academy hasn't had much luck against Sacred Heart recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Westminster Academy Crusaders will square off against the Sacred Heart Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Westminster Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 64-48 win over North Central on Friday. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart entered their tilt with Catholic of Pointe Coupee on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hornets 69-39. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 22 points or more this season.

Westminster Academy now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Sacred Heart, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Westminster Academy came up short against Sacred Heart in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 64-51. Can Westminster Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
