Softball Recap: Pflugerville Comes Up Short

Pflugerville lost against Anderson back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pflugerville Panthers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Anderson Trojans.

Braelynn Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Naleah Mackey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Pflugerville has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season. Anderson's victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Pflugerville Panthers face off against Pflugerville Connally Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pflugerville Connally has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.73 runs per game on average), something Pflugerville will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Anderson, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-1 loss against Crockett on the 4th.
