Baseball Recap: Scranton Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Scranton won the last time they faced Valley View and things went their way on Monday too. The Knights walked away with a 5-1 win over the Cougars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

The team relied heavily on Joe McIntyre, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Those stolen bases marked the first that he snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Thor Kelly, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Scranton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Valley View, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
