Volleyball Recap: Pieper Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Pieper hadn't done well against Antonian Prep recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Apaches 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Pieper found their leader in sophomore KK Alarid, who had 15 digs. Those 15 digs set a new season-high mark for Alarid. Emery Gingrich also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Antonian Prep's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Carley Leal, who had 19 digs and two aces, and Sydney Bryant, who had 11 assists and four digs.

Pieper's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Antonian Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Pieper has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Canyon on the 19th. As for Antonian Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Fort Bend Austin on the 21st.
