Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only New Trier walked away with it. They came out on top against the Leyden Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Trevians sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant New Trier was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10.

When it comes to explaining why Leyden lost, don't look at Olivia Prokop. Despite the final result, she had seven digs and one assist.

New Trier's victory bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Leyden, their loss dropped their record down to 11-26.

Coming up, New Trier will challenge Loyola Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trevians are facing the Ramblers at the right time seeing as the Ramblers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Leyden does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
