Preview: Rock Port Blue Jays vs. Stanberry Bulldogs
Rock Port is 0-3 against Stanberry since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Rock Port Blue Jays will look to defend their home court against the Stanberry Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Rock Port's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Stanberry has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
Rock Port stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Mound City as Rock Port made off with a 54-29 win. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Rock Port had established a 24 point advantage.
Rock Port had a senior duo take command as Bannack Skillen scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and Cade Makings scored 14 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ozey Hurst, who scored four points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Stanberry beat Trenton 49-40 on Friday.
Rock Port has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Stanberry, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.
