Eight must be Chickasha's lucky number: they beat Claremore with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Fighting Chicks didn't even let the Zebras on the board, marking the Fighting Chicks' second-straight 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Chicks, who have now won ten games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Chickasha's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Claremore, their loss dropped their record down to 19-5.

Chickasha wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-0 defeat against Mansfield Homeschool on the 11th. As for Claremore, they have also already played their next match, a 10-1 loss against Hilldale on the 11th.
