Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hoover). They put the hurt on the Canyon Hills Rattlers with a sharp 11-3 victory on Thursday. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Rattlers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Lucian Hura, who went 4-for-5 with one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Quincy Enyama- Turner was another key player, getting on base in four of his seven plate appearances with two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hoover kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 8.8.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-23. As for Canyon Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-16-2.

As of now, neither Hoover nor the Rattlers have any future games scheduled.
