Softball Recap: Solon's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Solon fell victim to North Royalton and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on Monday.

Grace Gerhard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Solon's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-8. As for North Royalton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Solon is set to take on their familiar foe Twinsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, North Royalton will face off against rival Stow-Munroe Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
