Volleyball Recap: Nevada Union Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Val Ramirez and Ellyse Havlorson

Nevada Union lost against West Park back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Miners fell 2-0 to the Panthers.

Ellyse Havlorson and Val Ramirez certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Havlorson had seven assists and six digs, while Ramirez had 13 digs. Ramirez has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Nevada Union has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for West Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Nevada Union is taking a road trip to take on Roseville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Park, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Del Oro on the 20th.
