DeForest waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Port Washington Pirates.

Haylin Arnold paced DeForest's offense, picking up 11 kills. Arnold got some help from Morgan Bentel and her 23 assists. Bentel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Port Washington's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sierra Hoeft, who had 11 assists and ten digs. Emersyn Loose was another key player, getting 11 digs and four assists.

DeForest's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Port Washington, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 11-6.

DeForest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Wauwatosa East on the 13th. As for Port Washington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Holmen on the 13th.
