 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. John Paul II Academy had no problem doing just that  on Wednesday. They never let the Benjamin Buccaneers onto the board and left with  a   14-0  victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for St. John Paul II Academy considering their one-run performance the  matchup before.
  Lincoln Dorland was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with five  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run. Another player making a difference was  Thomas Velardi, who  went 3-for-5 with three  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI.
 St. John Paul II Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-14-1. As for Benjamin,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 15-11.
 As of now, neither St. John Paul II Academy nor Benjamin have any future games scheduled.
