Baseball Recap: Helix Comes Up Short

Helix fell victim to Granite Hills and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Helix saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Romeo Briones, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Helix's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Granite Hills, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0-2.

While Helix had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
