Softball Recap: Beaver Bobcats vs. North Rangers
If Beaver was riding high off their 11-2 takedown of Westerville Central last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beaver Bobcats took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Rangers on Friday.
Sami Springman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Springer, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
On North's side, Breonna Preston and Ashley Sykes did most of the damage at the plate: Preston went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a double, while Sykes scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Beaver now has a losing record at 1-2. As for North, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Beaver is on the road again on Monday to play South Park at 4:00 p.m. As for North, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Mayfield at 4:30 p.m.
